While world-class dining is at your doorstep, both in Palisades and throughout Washington, D.C.’s other neighborhoods, you don’t have to go far to experience mouth-watering cuisine. Residents have their choice of on-site restaurants, each with their own ambiance and expansive menus, including:

Streetcar Café — a one-stop shop for casual meet-ups with friends, complete with a premium coffee bar and light café fare
Zelda’s Lounge — residents can retreat to this stunning Art Deco masterpiece for cocktails, wine and light fare
Promenade — inspired by nature, the formal dining room at The Fitzgerald offers a refined dining experience that blends local tradition with global inspiration
Boulevard — cozy up with friends or family in one of Boulevard’s intimate banquettes, the perfect setting to enjoy upscale cuisine and one of Palisades’ best brunches
District and Daisy’s — our dining rooms for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents, respectively, serve three delicious and nutritious meals daily in a lively, restaurant-like setting

1. How many meal credits does each independent living resident receive monthly?
Each independent living resident is allocated a continental hot breakfast option daily and 1 meal credit per day.

2. Can unused meal credits be transferred to another resident’s allotment?
Meal credits cannot be carried over to the following month or transferred to another resident but can be utilized at your discretion for lunch or dinner, or multiple credits in a day.

3. Can meal credits be used for guests joining for a meal?
Yes, meal credits can be used for guests and visitors without any limitations.

4. Are meal credits the same at all dining locations within the community?
Yes, meal credits are valid at all restaurants within the community, including the Grab-and-Go Market inside the community.

5. How are beverages and desserts accounted for with meal credits?
A meal credit covers a non-alcoholic beverage, starter, entrée, and dessert. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase, with complimentary options at designated events.

6. Can additional meals be purchased if all credits are used before the month ends?
Yes, additional meals can be purchased a la carte or through a meal plan priced at $600 per month, providing 3 complete meals daily.

7. Are reservations required for dining at the restaurants?
No reservations are necessary as we operate as a private club similar to Cosmos or The University Club.

8. Is there a dress code for dining areas?
There is no formal dress code; however, house rules specify appropriate attire in certain areas.

9. How frequently are menus updated?
Menus are refreshed quarterly in collaboration with our Resident Dining and Restaurant Committee.

10. How can the private dining room be reserved?
Reservations for the private dining room can be made through the front desk with availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
