Happy June! I can’t believe that Summer is already knocking at the door. Summertime brings an abundance of pleasures – the warmth of the sun, extended daylight, fresh produce, and opportunities for outdoor activities. Now that summer is in full swing, it’s important to remember the unique threats and challenges that summertime temperatures bring. The increased temperatures, sun exposure, hydration challenges, and varied routine activities demand extra precautions to ensure seniors’ safety and wellness. At The Fitzgerald, we strongly encourage our members to dress for the season, prioritize hydration, use sunscreen, and stay alert to signs of heat stroke.
We realize many of you may be going away on Summer holiday, but we will keep you up to date with the happenings here at The Fitzgerald. There will be opportunities for us to connect in person and virtually. Stay tuned for an exclusive invitation to tour our mockup apartments on the first floor of the community this Summer. You will have the opportunity to view the finishes, lighting, and equipment that will be installed in our residences.
As we near the end of the Summer season, we will begin holding Town Hall meetings with Founding Members and our Community Management Team. In these sessions, we will discuss getting ready for your move and how we can best support you in the process. Our current construction timeline remains unchanged. We are slated to receive the community from our developer, Trammel Crow, at the end of September. Members can begin customizing their residences in October, and we will create a physical move-in schedule with a January 2, 2025 start date. We advise that you not sell your home prior to us receiving the community from the developer; unless you have a plan for temporary accommodation prior to moving into The Fitzgerald.
