Dear First Key Society Members,
Whether you spent time with family, and friends, or just a good book, I hope each of you enjoyed a wonderful 2024 holiday season! As we ring in the new year at The Fitzgerald, I reflect on all there is to look forward to in 2025 as we continue to get to know each other and build our community including social gatherings, family celebrations, new friendships, experiences and for some of us, new beginnings.
January is a month that represents a fresh start. It’s a time to reflect, practice gratitude, and focus on opportunity, which is why it has always been one of my favorite months. While it seemed at times that things were constantly changing in 2024, as I reflect on the big picture, I am struck by how much resilience and positivity we share as a community. This month, hundreds of thousands of people will challenge themselves to a New Year’s resolution. Some will try to exercise more, save money, or get more sleep. How about a resolution we all can fulfill – caring for one another? The Fitzgerald is already one of the friendliest communities you will find, so may we continue with positive attitudes and civility; and may it radiate throughout into the rest of the world.
I’d like to close today’s update with a direct request: please make plans to attend the January First Key Society Town Hall meeting. You can join us in-person or virtually on Wednesday, January 22, at 4 PM at The Discovery Center, where we will discuss next steps in preparing for your move.
Once we receive our January construction update from the development team and they give us a firm date to hand over the keys, we will start scheduling appointments for you and your loved ones to have a full walkthrough of the building, including your new residence.
