Dear First Key Society Members,

In 1987, Congress officially designated March as National Women’s History Month, and each year we celebrate the remarkable achievements of women throughout American history. This month is a wonderful opportunity to honor not only the trailblazers of the past but also the inspiring women in our own lives who make a difference every day.

At The Fitzgerald, we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible women in our community. Your talents, dedication, and support enrich our lives, and we are truly grateful for all that you do!

In celebration of Women’s History Month, we are excited to highlight one of our Founding Members, Leni Preston. Leni has made significant contributions to interpretive and strategic planning for historic sites, museums, and non-profit organizations. Her expertise also extends to grassroots political advocacy and policy work.

We invite you to join us at our Discovery Center on Wednesday, March 5th, from 2 – 4 PM for a special event hosted by Leni. In her talk, “Mystic Chords of Memory: An Historical and Personal Perspective,” she will share her insights on the preservation of Lafayette Square, blending historical context with her personal experiences in protecting this iconic space.

Everyone has a story that shapes who they are, and we believe your next chapter is waiting to be written. At The Fitzgerald, we’re here to support you in crafting that story—your way.

Thank you for being part of our community, and we look forward to celebrating together in March!

Warm regards,

AW
