The Fitzgerald of Palisades, a Signature Kisco Senior Living Community, is thrilled to welcome Jennifer Soss as the Art of Living Well Director. With over 15 years of experience in the senior living industry, Jennifer brings a passion for enriching the lives of residents through meaningful connections and vibrant programming.
From a young age, Jennifer’s close relationship with her grandparents sparked her love for working with seniors. She recalls spending hours with her grandmother, attending events, and bonding with her grandmother’s friends. These memorable early experiences solidified her desire to pursue a career in senior living, where she could recreate the sense of community she cherished.
Jennifer earned her bachelor’s degree in Recreation & Tourism from Montclair State University, followed by a master’s in business administration from Rider University. During her studies, she interned at two senior living communities, confirming her commitment to making a positive impact in the industry. After graduation, she became a Recreation Director at an assisted living facility, where she thrived in creating engaging, joyful environments for residents.
Jennifer enjoys fitness and activities in her personal time and that has become something that she has been able to integrate into her career and therefore into the resident’s everyday lives.
In 2022, Jennifer was honored with the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce’s 40 Under 40 Award for her dedication to senior living, a field that often faces misconceptions. Her work has focused on breaking down stigmas and showing the excitement and fulfillment that senior living communities can offer. “Senior living is about starting fresh and having fun,” Jennifer says. “It’s not just a place to live—it’s a community filled with opportunities for growth, connection, and joy.”
Looking ahead, Jennifer is eager to begin her journey at The Fitzgerald. “There is so much potential here,” she says. “I’m excited to tap into everything the city has to offer and use it to enrich the lives of our residents. Being part of the Kisco family gives me the tools I need to make sure our residents are living life to the fullest.”
Jennifer is particularly inspired by the Art of Living Well philosophy, which encompasses nine dimensions of wellness: emotional, physical, occupational, social, intellectual, mental, nutritional, and happiness. She believes that by getting to know each resident personally, she can help them achieve their dreams and goals. “I want to understand their likes and dislikes so I can create experiences that truly resonate with them,” she shares. “It’s all about making sure they feel connected, fulfilled, and excited about life.”
Jennifer’s enthusiasm, experience, and dedication to creating a vibrant, engaging community make her an invaluable addition to The Fitzgerald of Palisades. We are excited to see the positive impact she will have on our residents, the neighborhood of Palisades, and the broader Kisco community.
