At The Fitzgerald of Palisades, a Kisco Signature community, our partnerships give members exclusive experiences while supporting the Washington, D.C., community. There are three distinct types of partnerships we focus on, allowing The Fitzgerald to host unique and exclusive events for the community, such as local artisans and businesses or significant D.C. cultural institutions.
These signature events incorporate our amazing partners in unique, exclusive, and engaging ways. To recruit and connect with high achieving and impactful professionals in the senior living industry, The Fitzgerald hosted a professional networking event at Black Coffee, a local cafe, and our soon-to-be neighbor. Attendees met with our team during a speed networking activity and entered a raffle where they could win prizes from Black Coffee and other local artisan partners such as HunnyBunny Boutique and Arcay Chocolates.
The Fitzgerald has an ongoing series called Curated Conversations, where members can engage in thought-provoking discussions and interactive workshops led by experts from renowned institutions and organizations such as the GLOBE Center and the Library of Congress. The GLOBE Center showcased the GLOBE Observer App, where members served as volunteer scientists, collecting real-time data and observing clouds, trees, and mosquito habitats. The Library of Congress’s Senior Paper Conservator discussed conservation techniques. Members enjoyed a hands-on experience, learning to hinge art into ready-made window mats using art reproductions. These sessions cover a wide range of topics, from art and history to science and technology, ensuring that there is something for everyone. The Fitzgerald will continue to host more events with partners, such as Curated Conversations with the Phillips Collection, where attendees will learn about the collection’s history as the first American modern art museum. In addition to more Curated Conversations, the Fitzgerald hopes to host a wine and chocolate pairing event with local artisan partner Arcay Chocolates.
